Manifesto

Protagonist is a visual studio founded by artists Laurent Rose and Émilie Stisi.

We create images the way one shapes precious objects: with rigor, intuition, and an obsessive attention to detail.
At the crossroads of set design, photography, and post-production, we craft worlds where matter, light, and gesture are at the heart of every story.

Our approach is rooted in craft and the tangible: real textures, built sets, ethical choices, and collaborations with artisans and artists.

3D, AI and digital tools, are part of our palette, but never a substitute. It amplifies what only the human hand can convey: emotion, singularity, imprint.

Each project is conceived as a unique piece, an artwork in its own right.
